ABOUT US

Where did the name DANNY'S come from?

Way back in 2007, our Head Chocolatier created DANNY'S Chocolates inspired by his son (Daniel) to create high quality, high cacao chocolate with a fun flavour for everyone.

Ten years down the line, Montrose Chocolate was formed with Daniels Delights and DANNY'S Chocolates were created.

What accreditations do we have?

All our chocolates are manufactured in Stoke, UK in our factory which is BRC AA accredited

Are we Fairtrade?

Whilst sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients and packaging are important to us at, we are not certified Fair Trade.

All the cacao we use in our brands is supplied by Casa Luker who are committed to the sustainable and ethical sourcing of cacao in Colombia. They also founded the Granja Luker to aid research, innovation and training for the farmers in the region.

CHOCOLATE & PACKAGING

Do our chocolates contain nuts?

Daniel's Delights Ltd (our manufacturing site) are not a dedicated Nut Free manufacturing site, although every precaution is made to avoid cross contamination, we cannot guarantee as we do use nuts on site for some products.

This is inclusive of milk, nuts, peanuts and wheat.

Are our chocolates gluten free?

The majority of our Bars are gluten free however, please see the packaging or online for the ingredients of all our bars with all allergenic ingredients highlighted in bold.

What is the shelf life and how should I store my chocolate?

All our chocolates have a minimum of 9 months; however, some chocolates may have longer shelf lives than others depending on the inclusions. Always check the best before the date on the packaging if you are uncertain.

If you somehow still have a little bit of chocolate left over, keep your bar in a cool, dry environment. Avoid keeping it in warm or cold places or else you’ll end up with a puddle of choc or a bloomed bar.

Is our packaging recyclable?

All our packaging of our chocolate bars is recyclable, and the wrapping is recyclable in some areas of the UK but we are moving over to fully recyclable and/or compostable packaging very soon!

Our Cox&Co. Sharing Shards are not yet recyclable; however, we are working very hard on sourcing a new pouch soon to offer recyclable plastic. We are proud to offer the Sharing Shards in a resealable package for reuse after you finish the delicious goods inside.
